Personal Statement
I am currently a senior at V. Sue Cleveland High School. I believe my hard work, enthusiasm, leadership and my ability of overcoming adversity has helped my teams to reach a higher level of success. As a Junior I was the starting right tackle. I was able to contribute to our football team’s success of attaining an undefeated season, becoming the 2015 New Mexico Division 6A State Champions. I am currently the first athlete in the history of Cleveland High School to be a part of 3 Division 6A State Championships in 1 year, Football, Wrestling and Track and Field.
Being a student-athlete has provided me with many skills to help ensure a successful future at the collegiate level, in my career and in life. I am highly competitive with a strong commitment to working hard and being accountable. Being a dynamic player and positive influence is my priority. I strive to conduct myself with honor and respect both on and off the field, knowing I am always a direct representation of my family, my team, my coaches and my school. I pride myself on knowing the game. I am a quick study, open to constructive criticism, and willing to learn, so things I don't know, I will strive to know and learn. I strongly believe knowledge is power. My goal is to explore a degree in Business. I would like to find a school where I can maintain balance of my education and being an athlete. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college football career, I will strive to be a true asset and contributor to the program and my teammates.
