Kyle Niehr '17 Recruiting Profile

Ever since my step-dad introduced me to the game of football, when I was 4 years old, I knew that's the sport I wanted to play for the rest of my life. Growing up in an athletic family made me the person I am today. Without sports I don't know where I would be today. Playing football and being a 6-time captain has humbled me and shown me how my leadership skills have grown over the years. It has influenced me to want to make a change in people's lives on and off the field.

As for my academic goals, I am on the road to graduating high school with an advanced regents diploma. I wish to find a college where I can play football, but more importantly get a good education. My dream is to earn my masters degree in physical education and go back to my home town of Brentwood to teach physical education and coach football. I hope that when the time comes I will be able to teach kids the beauty of the sport and prepare them for not only their future as an athlete, but for their future as a person.
