I've been blessed to play for a very good football team here in NY. We've been to the championship every year from freshman to now. Losing all three of those championships by a touchdown or less every time, hurt me drastically but it showed me that u have to remain humble and treat each team you face with respect.
My junior year I didn't start because there were seniors at my position and my coaches wanted to give them a chance to earn a scholarship. This experience of not starting for the first time in my life drove me to become a better football player. I knew I would have an opportunity to start my senior year so I worked hard all season and in the offseason so I would be prepared when I got the opportunity to start again. This experience showed me that nothing is garunteed in life and if u want something you have to go out and take it. Nothing is given to u. Now I'm motivated to compete at the college level next year.
Whatever college gives me the opportunity to play for their team, they will be getting a hard worker, a player committed to doing what it takes to give the team the best opportunity to win, and a player who will work hard to get better each offseason to improve on weaknesses and build on strengths.
