Personal Statement
UPDATE APRIL 2014
Thank you to everyone that showed interest in me. I have decided to play for East Stroudsburg University. Go Warriors!
--------------------
My goal is to find the best fit for me and for my college team in both football and for the preparation for the rest of my life.
I have been a leader at every level of play, committed to winning and to improving myself and my teammates every day. I truly love this game. I have grown in so many ways through it. I want to keep growing and learning and pass it on to the kids that follow me. Not every kid makes it to the NFL, but I know I can make a difference through this game.
And, I CAN PLAY FOOTBALL. In addition to my NCSA videos, check out my junior and senior season highlights on HUDL.com. You will like them! The senior year clips start with a strip and 55 yard fumble return for a touchdown. Go to Hudl.com/athlete/o/320898/marc-gaudet.
For the 2012 season, I earned the NH All-State First Team linebacker honor, and the vote by the league coaches was unanimous. In June 2013, I completed the NUC Top Elite 100 Combine in Delaware. I earned Top 10 Regional Linebacker recognition and was invited to the next level of this combine at the University of Oklahoma, the NUC Top Prospect Elite. I completed this in July 2013 and was named to the national linebacker top 10.
Also in July 2013, I completed the Sports International Patriots Football Camp at Merrimack College in Andover, MA. I was named Top Running Back and Most Valuable Player in the camp. Then, I attended the University of New Hampshire Football camp in Durham, NH. I was named Top Running Back.
And now, all that has been topped off by a great senior season in 2013. I was Team Captain, started both ways (OLB on defense; slot receiver or RB on offense, depending on the formation), and led the team in TDs with 20 on offense and one on defense for 21 total. I have been named All-Conference Linebacker (All-State's have not been announced yet). But, the best part is the team result: NH Division 1 State Champions, 12-0, the first undefeated season for Concord in 30 years. The team was 0-10 my freshman year. I know how to help lead a rebuild to a champion. It's the team results that matter!
Outside of football, I participate in two other varsity sports, Basketball and Track and Field. In my Junior season for basketball, I was played both forward positions, started every game, was the leading re-bounder on my team, and was team Defensive Player of the Year. For track and field, I was part of the 4x100 relay team that broke our school's thirty year old record and made it to the New England regional meet.
In short, I am a football player, an athlete and a leader. I want to attend a school where I can become my best while leading my team to be the best.
MY BEST IS YET TO COME!
