Personal Statement
Dear coaches and recruiters
My name is Anthony Angerami, I am currently an 11th grade Honor roll student at Manchester Memorial High school in Manchester NH. I weight 260 and I am 6 foot 1, I have grown 6 inches in the past 2 years alone. My bench is 215, my squat is 335 and my hang clean is 210.
My goal is to play at an elite college level as I attain a well-rounded education. I am fully dedicated to working hard both on and off the field. My goal is to choose a path in which I will be able to be a college football coach and continue to be a part of a sport that I love. I am looking forward to looking back on my college experience and feeling proud of what I will have accomplished. I have the ability and skill to play all positions on the offensive line as well as the D-line.
As a Freshman I won the JV offensive lineman of the year, I played Junior Varsity and also earned the opportunity to play in my first varsity game as a freshman. In my sophomore year I played starting Varsity as the Center. On defense I played defensive end, tackle as well as nose guard. In addition during my sophomore year I lead the team in pancakes. During my sophomore year I was awarded Varsity offensive lineman of the year. In addition I was picked for honorable mention for the All-state team.
During my junior year I continued to excel on the offensive line, I was in the guard position. Once again I lead my team in pancakes, more than doubling the amount I had in my sophomore year. On defense I continued to play the defensive nose guard and defensive tackles positions with great authority. I was awarded the Varsity coaches award 2015, Varsity defensive player of the year 2015 and was picked for all conference honorable mention team. In addition to the above I was also team captain for my junior year and have been picked to lead the team as captain again for the 2016 season. I encourage all of you to take a few minutes and review my junior year highlight film and see for yourself.
In addition to football I have also played JV baseball and two years of Varsity Winter Track. This past track season I made it to states in the shotput ending up in 10th place overall for the state of NH. I hold a part time job at a local supermarket, I volunteer in some local youth leagues and my church.
Prior to my high school career I started playing youth football in 2nd grade. I played a variety of positions during those years. In my final year of youth football (8th), I tried out and made a National All-star team for New Hampshire AYF football league. Our team traveled to Florida and played against various teams from Pennsylvania to Arizona to name a few. We placed 4th overall, it was during this experience that made me realize my deep desire to play football at the next level.
I appreciate that you took the time to read my profile and encourage you to review my film.
