Mario Fuentes '19 Recruiting Profile

    I love to compete it's the greatest way to becoming a better athlete. My goal has always been to play football at the next level. I grew up playing and loving football my entire life, my grandfather was a college coach in Mexico and he had the opportunity to come to the United States where he would meet with Bill Yeoman at the University of Houston. Yeoman would give him their play book for them to take back to Mexico, where my Grandfathers team would become very successful. My Father was greatly influenced by my grandfather and he too loved the sport, my dad is good friends with Jon Torine and my father learned a lot from him.

    I currently play fullback, strong safety, and long snapper, Running back, and kick returner. I'm a Leader and hard worker on and off the field. I wasn’t the smartest kid growing up but my effort has greatly improved. I want to study Excercise Physiology in college. I will be in the weight room every day of the offseason with one goal in mind. Be the biggest, strongest, and most physical kid on my team. Hard work beats talent.
