Hello Coach: I am 5-11 weight 205 my 40 yard 4.7 now, an athlete that can play on both side of the football. This is me being proactive for my future. I watch and learn from two senior Running Backs that only had one year to get notice by recruiting scouts it did not go well but on another note, I had one of the most exciting experience of my life as a young football player at Paramus Catholic High School, to be a Sophomore of a New Jersey State Non Public Group 4 State Championship team is the greatest feeling in my life. (Yes.... ) I am sure you have heard it many times probably seen it too coach; I come from a small single house-hold family and I have a younger brother Malcolm, sisters Amelia and Amira. My dad is the rock and glue to our small family and a United States Army soldier, Iraq wars veteran. My goals are to attend a university and earn a degree in Horticulture and Agriculture Engineering Farming or Computer Engineering that encompasses playing football at the Division One level. I want be that example for my brother and sisters that they can go to a university too and earn a degree. What separate me from other candidates is my work ethic ,Academic discipline, I am Coachable, my mental physical approach to football, making adjustments under pressure, my drive and my heart; My dad say you can't teach heart. Another great moment in my life is I got opportunity to run/return the football in Michigan Stadium "The Big House" against Saint Francis catholic school football team. I am deeply humble by that experience for coach to trust me, at a critical moment in the game as a Sophomore Kick returner, I did not let my coach down and I will do the same for you Coach. I am member of a United States Army military family that advocates complete your mission, (Do your Job) In life there are always going to be obstacles that I will and must negotiate in / out of the classroom and on the football field. It start with just paying attention to details. This value allows me to work harder in the classroom and produce better grades as an investment in my future. I am a strongly believer that action speaks louder than words, l leader by example. I know right now I am Junior going through my third steps in this process of my life but I am that Junior with that chip on his shoulder that stilled have a lot to prove and learn, State Champions.(Sweet) However, It is the start of my journey and a time for me to grow, and work even harder; all I need coach is the opportunity to compete on both side of the football. Thank you,
Richard Turner
