Thomas Begane '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi.  My name is Thomas Begane and I am a Junior at Warren Hills Regional High School in Washington Township, NJ.  My future goals include graduating from Warren Hills at the top of my class while continuing to excel on the football field.  After high school I plan to attend a very academically competitive university and hopefully have the opportunity to play football at the collegiate level.  I know that this will not be easy, but I love a challenge, and I am ready for it!  I am fortunate to have a very strong work ethic and the support of my family, so I know that with this combination, I have a pretty good shot of accomplishing my goals.  For example,  I take my school work very seriously.  In fact, that is my absolute top priority. I focus on working hard in the classroom and being a good role model for my classmates.  I am very proud of what my hard work has accomplished thus far, I have a GPA of 3.9  On the football field, I also work very hard. Having played football for so many years, I am a very versatile player.  I played the position of Running Back and Linebacker for most of my youth football career, but have been able to play any position on the field when asked during my High School career.  I've had experience at the high school level at Defensive End, Full Back and Running Back.  I am one of only a few skilled players that consistently plays both sides of the ball.  I was a starter for our JV team (Running Back and Defensive End) and I was given opportunities to play on the Varsity team as both a Defensive End and Running Back. I earned a starting spot on our Varsity team as a Junior and I am looking forward to my Senior year.
