Personal Statement

My dream is to play college football at the highest competitive level that I can. I desire a college that will not only challenge me athletically but intellectually as well.  I believe in myself and I have the dedication, pride and personal character to be part of a winning team.

My name is Nathan Prus.  I am a 6'-1", 240 pound, Center, Defensive Tackle and Long Snapper from the state of New Jersey.  My personal accomplishments are as follows: Academically, I have been an Honor Roll student every year since grade school and I was inducted into the National Honor Society as a junior in 2012.  I am also involved with extracurricular activities such as the Chess Club, Spanish Club, Physical Training and Athletic Training Clubs.  Athletically, I have been a Varsity starter as a lineman since my freshman year and I was named as my team’s Captain as a junior.  I was chosen All Conference 2nd team as a Defensive Lineman in the Diamond Division and was named Defensive Player of the Game three times during my junior year by Max Preps Sports.  As a junior, our team proceeded to the second round of the playoffs and finished the season with a 7-4 record.  I truly love the sport of football and have played competitively since the age of six.

So far this year our team is undefeated at 6-0.  As a result of these games I have been named Defensive Player of the Game by MaxPreps, Overall Player of the Game by MaxPreps and honored as the Lineman of the Week by the Touchdown Club of South Jersey.  I was honored as Scholar-Athlete by the Brooks-Irvine Memorial Football Club South Jersey.  I was the recipient of the William A. Sibley Academic Excellence Award. I was also named Woodstown High School’s Athlete of the Month for September.

I aspire to use my experience as a Collegiate Football Player and my College Education Major to further my progression one day in the Field of Health as a Physical Therapist.  I have the personal drive, integrity and determination to succeed on the field as well as in the classroom and hope one day to realize this dream.
