Hello Coaches...thank you for taking the time to review my profile! I'm currently a senior at Olathe West High School. I started playing golf in the Fall of my freshman year. I was fortunate enough to make the junior varsity team that next Spring (2020), but our season was cancelled due to Covid, so my first competitive tournament golf really wasn't until the Spring of 2021. However, over the last two seasons I've learned plenty about shot selection, course management, healthy competitiveness, and the benefits of emotional stability (especially when the round isn't going my way). I've posted two incredible rounds and had plenty of stretches within a round that were exceptional, but unfortunately I've also had plenty of holes that didn't go my way and put me out of contention. But every day I'm working to get better and hopefully that work will pay off in my upcoming senior season.
As for my future, I'm looking to play competitive golf in college, with aspirations to earn my card and some day play in the PGA. I realize I'm late to the recruiting process, but I believe this part of the journey will lead me to the right place, the right coach, and the right teammates that will all help me mature both my golf game and myself as a man, and at the same time give me opportunities to positively influence those around me.
As for academics, I'd like to say my twin sister was blessed with all the brains, but Iet's just say I'm getting better at managing competing priorities (desire to play basketball/football/golf vs homework and tests). I very much believe academics play a crucial role in my maturity process and will provide a solid contingency plan should my efforts fall short of getting to the PGA as a player. My Dad often tells me to shoot for the stars, but have a place to land in case I miss. That's what I hope to do!
Thank you again for taking the time to review my profile...and I look forward to a future discussion if you believe I could be a good fit in your program!
