Personal Statement

I've been playing football since I was 7 years old. I have the passion and drive to do anything I set my mind to. My goal is to go to a college that offers an engineering program and graduate within the same 4 years I'm playing college football. As my senior year approaches I feel I have accomplished successes as a left tackle offensive lineman. I've shown consistent growth and challenge myself to the fullest. I will be playing both ways senior year so this with let me prove to myself and to coaches that I can play several positions. I will be attending several college camps this summer not only to prove I'm just as talented as others around the country but to learn and grow as an athlete. Being a Hispanic from New Mexico and traveling to football events, I've noticed we are a minority. My state has an enormous amount of talent that's isn't being recognized. I'm working on breaking this chain. I will continue to work academically and strive as an athlete to get better and train harder. I will continue to send college letters and hope someone will give me the opportunity to continue my dream and allow me to prove I'm more.
