Jacob Jameson '11 Recruiting Profile

Passion. Ethic. Attitude. Once told to me by one of my coaches, I have done my best to always live up to this standard. Whether on the playing field or in the classroom, this is something I feel dictates every decision I've made throughout my high school athletic career. I am currently a senior at Lovington High School in Lovington, New Mexico, and it is my hope to continue my education and the game of football on a collegiate level. I feel my coaches and friends would describe me as being extremely competitive and dedicated to the game of football. I am constantly looking to improve my strength, speed and accuracy. As a team captain and quarterback, I feel it is my duty to my teammates to demonstrate my desire to improve through many hours of practice. Football has been an important part of my life - and an important tradition for my family - for many years, and I consider myself lucky to have been taught the importance of a good practice and work ethic, demonstrating the significance of mental toughness and extra effort in all that I do. I am proud to have been a part of a State Championship team in 2009 and State Champion Runner-Up in 2008, and I hope to bring home another State Championship title in 2010. I have also achieved many of my personal goals on the football field, including breaking various school records, and received several county and state awards. I'm also proud to play a part on the basketball court and golf course for Lovington High School, and contributed to two state championship golf titles. Although athletics in general is something I enjoy, my heart is on the football field. It is very important to my family that I receive a quality college education, and academics have always been a top priority to me. I hope to someday study and practice in the field of engineering. I dream of playing college football, and am looking forward to the possibility of contributing to the success of my team.
