Cameron Monks '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cameron Monks and I currently am 6’ 4”, 260 pounds and a senior at Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg, North Carolina. I am currently the starting Left Tackle for the varsity football team and have previously been the starting varisty center my junior year and the starting right guard the first part of my senior year season.  I also started on the Jr Varsity team in 9^th and 10^th grade at right guard and left tackle. In Middle school I was a starter at various offensive and defensive line positions. I started playing football at 7 years old for the Pop Warner Harrisburg Cowboys team. I played 4 years with them and then in 6^thgrade played for the NCYFL Concord Cornhuskers team under Mike Minter. I am soft-spoken, mild mannered and I have always been a team player and conduct myself in a positive and sportsmanlike manner both on and off the field. I give my teammates, coaches, teachers and other important people in my life my fullest respect at all times.

Although I have not played basketball for the school team, I have played recreation basketball since I was 4 years old and I enjoy the sport very much. I also enjoy spending time with my family and look forward to every summer when I get to visit my grandparents in Wisconsin and play golf with my grandfather and his friends.

I am currently interested economics and civics and am seeking a college that can provide me with an opportunity for both academic and personal growth to help me in my future professional career.
