Personal Statement

I am the Varsity kicker for Leesville Road High School, class of 2017.

My 2016 senior season is going well. I've kicked some great field goals including 47 yards, 44 yards, 33 yards and 28 yards. I missed 53 and 47 yards, and a 42-yard was blocked. My kickoffs are strong including numerous touchbacks. And my extra points are consistent (21/24) (2 were blocked.).

My current ranking with Chris Sailer kicking is 4.5 stars (rank approximately #101 in the country)

In the May 2016 Chris Sailer Las Vegas event, I tied for 8th in the field goal competition in my class. In kickoffs, my long was 66 yards, with a hang time of 3.68.

At the March 2016 Chris Sailer Charlotte camp, I was named a 2017 Standout by Chris Sailer in his blog post about the event.

In the January 2016 Chris Sailer Las Vegas event, I tied for 19th in the field goal competition in my class, and I tied for 38th in the punting competition.

My junior season playing football for Leesville (fall 2015), I scored 47 points (35/41 PATs - 5 blocked/1 missed; and 4/7 field goals, with a long of 35).

My strengths include my consistency, as well as being very coachable, according to coaches who have worked with me. Also, I take my studies very seriously, and have a strong GPA (currently 4.6) and class rank (44 of 570). I am proud to have recently earned my Eagle Scout, which I think shows my high level of persistence and achievement in all areas. Persistence is something I bring to my football practice every day, which is why I'm seeing continuous improvement in my kicking. I have set high goals for myself, and it would be a dream come true to play for a college football program. I enjoy the teamwork, competition, physical fitness, friendships and sport of football, and so I have decided that it will be a very important part of my college selection process.
