Personal Statement
I’m ONE person out of 7 billion! The percentage of High School players competing in College is 8%. Football is a game of numbers, and Life is too short to give up on opportunitites and dreams. My name is Sam Kennedy and I know that I can compete in College. I have been playing since I was 5 and I have always told my family that I would be on a college team and would make an impact on that team. Lots of kids have the ability to make an impact in high school, but only a small number go on to do big things on Saturdays. I want to be one of those select few that have the ability to change a game. I am a dedicated hard worker, hungry to learn, and ready to contribute and succeed at the next level. Leading on the field is something I have strived for all my years playing the game. I’m learning how important it is to lead in the class room, and the advantages of achieving a quality education. Knowing the slim odds of football after college, I want to be sure I pick a school that will allow me to get an education that I can use for the rest of my life. Putting the pieces together, I have the desire of playing college football somewhere that will set up my future once football is over. Thank You.
