Personal Statement
I love football, because that is the one time where I can be free to do what I want. I break through the line, get the tackle, and make the team proud of me. I am in Football, Wrestling, Baseball, and Clay Trap Shooting. All 4 of these sports help me with football in different ways. I’ll start with football, where it helps me where I learn the plays and how to tackle. Wrestling helps me with getting low and exploding from one motion to another. Baseball helps me with my speed. Clay Trap Shooting helps me be precise and aim for my target. I love being in these sports because they help me keep in shape, and help me develop my personal goals.
I have lettered in Football and Wrestling all 3 years in high school, and 2 years in Baseball. With the help and direction from my coaches and teammates, I was able to achieve these goals.
I help out the community of Enderlin, by volunteering at Encore, the local thrift Store in Enderlin, ND by sorting through items, moving boxes and items as needed.
My goal is to get a 3.0 or higher this year and next year. For college, I want to go into Wildlife Management/Biology or Coaching/Athletic Director. What makes me a good team player is I work with my teammates and coaches and getting the direction that I need to make our team strive for excellence, whether if we win or lose a game. I know that as a team, we played hard. I have received compliments from referees on my tackling ability and hits.
I am the team captain for my Youth Bowling League Team in Enderlin. In 2015, I led my team to the State Championship at the North Dakota State Bowling Association. In 2017, I was the Individual Regional Championship with high bowling score of 269.
For my work ethic, I believe in being on time for my classes, job, and practices. Don’t be late. I get that work ethic from my parents as they are always pushing me to reach my goals.
The one statement that I live by is, “The only person that can make you better is the person that you see in the morning when you look in the mirror”.
