Personal Statement
My goal for collegiate football is to do so and maintain good grades as well. When I was younger my parents sat me down and explained to me that I couldn't have football with out good grades. I have been a multi-sport athlete all my life, until last year when I finally decided that football is the sport that I want to go to the next level with. I haven't had any outstanding awards so far, but I think starting left tackle on varsity as a sophomore is award enough for me. As a junior I started as well as made second team all league.
This year I have had rough start academically, but I have bounced back and now I currently have only two B's and all A's. I have taken multiple honors classes which include Honors English, Honors Chemistry, and A.P. European History, and am now taking AP Language and Composition, Honors Anatomy, and Honors Algebra. As I said school is extremely important to me because without school there wouldn't be football.
I would say that I am mentally strong. I mean that I have good mental endurance. This summer for example I went to a three day full contact camp with team which was intense yet fun and when it was done I was completely exhausted. I had to go straight from that camp to another three day full contact lineman camp. It was a great test of my mental endurance. There were many moments where I thought I couldn't go on any longer, but I just took a deep breath and tried to make the best of this camp. A huge influence in my life are my parents, they are the ones who wouldn't let me quit in anything I did. They are the ones who stressed how important academics are. They are the ones who helped motivate me to play football and various other sports. Without them I wouldn't be the person I am today.
