Joseph Nelson '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Joseph Nelson. I participate in Football and Track and Field. I’m 5'7 and i weigh about 145 pounds. I've achieved most improved my first year of Pop-Warner, but the rest of my career in Pop-Warner football I earned the MVP award multiple times out of my 6 years. I have a lot to offer a football team. I have great leadership skills; I motivate my teammates to work harder in practice and in clutch games and game situations. To me the game isn't over until the last buzzard. I pump up my team in the beginning of our games and throughout the game and season I continue to motivate, no matter what the score. There is no 'I' in team, I always help my teammates out and I never put myself before my team. I am a hardworking player; I give it my all at every practice and definitely at every game, even if the score is 49-0. I’m always first on the field and last off the field. When I play football I play at 110% and I put all my heart into it. My all time goal in life is playing college football and being a great student and adult. I love my family, friends, and football. My academics are first, football is second. I would like to go to school somewhere near California, but if I could I would love to attend college somewhere on the East Coast. I have no specific type of college, any college that will take me whether its D1, D2, or D3, ill be grateful and I WILL make the most out of my time there and be a BIG part of their Football program and their academics. My family is in need of financial assistance, my family and I would be very grateful for any help. I have no desired major I’m open to a lot of different possibilities. My goals are to get good grades, play as a freshman, and be a positive impact on the team. I'm a very positive person, negativity isn't what I bring to the table. I'm willing to play for any Division; any chance I get to play football in college will truly be a blessing.
