Personal Statement

My name is Brendan Eason and I am a senior at Tonopah High School.  I am a  member of the National Honor Society Silver Scholar Chapter, student body Vice-President, and a 4x varsity letterman in Football, Basketball, and Track

The 2016 season is my 4th year on the varsity football team and my 3rd year as a starter in the linebacker and 2nd as a tight end.  My knowledge of the game along with a great attitude and the ability to learn quickly has proven to be a positive attribute to my team as I have played guard, defensive end, defensive tackle, and center.

My leadership, knowledge of the game, enthusiasm, motivation and a strong work ethic shows whether I am on the field, in the classroom or at work. This work ethic has paid off in many ways.  I ended the 2015 season as the lead tackler in the State of Nevada with 107 total tackles (per Nevada Preps).  I was awarded camp MVP as a tight end at the Offense-Defense camp in Flagstaff, AZ, earning a direct invite to the All-American game in Daytona Beach, FL.    In basketball, I was awarded defensive MVP and All-State Honorable Mention.   I am also a Nevada State track champion in the 4x400 meter relay and state runner-up in the 4x800 and 4x200 meter relays.  I have accomplished all of this while maintaining a part time job.

My future goals include receiving a Bachelor's degree in either Biology or Athletic Training and to play great football.  I am willing to go anywhere my academics and athletics will take me. I feel that my attitude and personality, work ethics, and being willing to accept new challenges would make me a great addition to any team and school.  I welcome all opportunities with an open mind and the same determination I give now.
