Personal Statement

When I first stepped onto the field 11 years ago, I had no idea that football would become such a big part of my life. My family and I moved to Canada when I was 3 months old and I am the first to play football.  I instantly fell in love with the game. The team work, dedication and reliance on other players standing by your side on the field, is what it takes to not only be a successful athlete, but also a winning team. Being a quarterback requires me to be a naturally strong leader, since my decisions and actions have a large impact on the game. My commitment to football is clearly seen through my move from Canada to the United States as I was going into my junior year of high school. I had to sacrifice seeing my family and friends in order to take on my new life as an athlete and student at Canisius High School in Buffalo, NY.  Since the athletic and educational demands are very high at this school, I invested all of my time and energy into ensuring that my results on and off the field were up to and exceeding the expectations. This includes going to the gym 5 times a weeks, attending several combines and camps to improve my skill set and developing strong relationships with my teammates and coaches. This is all in the pursuit of fulfilling my dream of playing college football at the highest and most competitive level.

Winner of the 2015 Western New York Quarterback Challenge with Jim Kubiak

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
