Personal Statement
My goal has always been to play football at the Division 1 or 2 level. The only way to achieve my goal is through hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. I will train to be the best that I can be as a football player, but more importantly, a better person, a good student and an unselfish leader and team player that looks out for others first. One day, I will make my family and myself proud by accepting a scholarship and becoming a great student athlete. As a freshman playing on varsity, I was awarded (2012) Defensive MVP Award on the team and finished second on the team in tackles. It was one of my great accomplishments for the year. In my Sophomore year, I was named Team Captain, and also finished second in the CHSFL (Catholic High School Football League) in tackles during the regular season with 90 total tackles. Among those, I had 25 tackles for a loss and averaged 10 tackles per game. I was also honored Team Overall MVP. For my junior year, I transferred to Mahopac High School due to personal reasons. I was awarded All-Leauge. (went from CHSFL league A ---> Section 1 AA). Senior year, I led the team in tackles and finished with All-Conference. I was team captain. We lost in quarterfinals in sectionals. During the quarterfinal game, I dislocated my shoulder. The following week I tore my labrum and ligament in my shoulder. During the offseason, I do a lot of conditioning, weightlifting, running, and do track. This is the time where I focus on getting better as an athlete in all aspects of the game. My goal is to select a college with a great football program. My strong points include my passion for the game, my speed, strength, agility, discipline, hard work, and leadership qualities.
