Personal Statement

To whom it may concern, I have played organized Football,Wrestling and Baseball since I was 8 years old.Football has always been my passion and I contiune to do whatever I can to play at the next level. I am 6'0 and 150lbs, but many of my coaches have said that I have the biggest heart on the team. I may not be big, but I hit and play with all I have. The drive and the competitive athlete that I am has played a big role in my success. My coaches have said that I am very coachable and I give a 110% all the time even in practice. I have played many positions throught my high school carreer. I was a quarterback from 8 years old till my Sophomore year and did very well. My Junior year I had to come to terms on the Varisty Football team with my coach going with the other quarteback because mainly of his size. I played backup quarteback. On defense I started at Free Safety and then was eventually moved to Inside Line Backer. The start of my Senior year I had to make a decision to either stay at back up quarterback or try out for tightend. I decided to try out for tightend and earned the starting position. I had a great season with many great catches. The Offensive Coordinater nicknamed me "Clutch" becasue I have many key catches when we needed it. My Senior year on defense I started at Inside Line Backer and then for the last three games I was moved to Free Saftey because the starter was getting beat on the deep passes. I would have rather stayed at Inside Lineback because there was more action there but for the better of the team I did what my coached asked me to do. In my spare time I help on the family dairy farm. In the summer time during double sessions we unloaded hay. Coaches would tell us to go home and rest, I did not have that choice. This has been tough but it has helped me build character and have a good work ethic. It has also taught me to manage my time between academics, sports and my responsibilities on the family farm. Other sports such as Wrestling has given me the cofidnece to succeed as an indivual and dicipline by maiting my weight. My plan is to major in Physical Education at a divison III college or University and try out for the Football team. My parents are middle class hard working people. With that I will need financial assistance, because of their income I should qualify.I intend on filling out the FAFSA form in January. I look foward to working with recruiters and coaches. Respectfully, Kyle Sadler
