Personal Statement
Hi Coaches,
My name is Curtis Jones. I’m into my senior year in high school at Harvest Preparatory in Canal Winchester, Ohio. I am 5’9” and 165 lbs. I play offensive and defensive positions as Slotback and Cornerback.
My top collegiate goal and aspiration is to get a good education and obtain my bachelor’s degree in Business. I want to enjoy my college experience both on and off the football field.
What makes me a good candidate for teams is my work ethic. I’m always looking for ways to improve my game; the little things make the difference and gives the slight edge. I try to motivate everyone around me to strive to be their best because when I’m grinding I want everyone on the team to grind with me. To me, that’s teamwork and teammates are brothers; one Big Family striving to achieve the same goals.
I try to make myself stand out from other recruits by doing the small powerful things and making the right decisions that will ultimately be best for my team, my family, my friends and myself. I try to lead and influence people to do what is right for not only themselves but also those around them.
I work hard at everything I set out to do. From being a leader with my peers, to working hard on the football field, or applying myself in the classroom; I know attention to tiny details will set me apart from others. I will continue to work on the little things and identify the areas where I can improve and succeed not only on the football field but also in life.
