Personal Statement
In college I hope to better myself in every way possible which is as a student, athlete, son and person or character. Growing up sports was all I had so my sports teams would be my family and my considered home. Any college I would attend I would consider my team my home and would do anything for them. It's all about team and who's willing to put that extra step forward. I play for my team rather than myself because everyone should succeed whether it's on or off the field. Off the field is where you're really judged on character and it's only right to act in manner or the best way to represent your team, school and family. Raised in a house full of boys and I'm the oldest so leading wouldn't be a problem for me or correcting a teammate when they're wrong. Athletics aren't a right it's a privilege to be on the field or a team, schooling/ academics is more important than anything. Your schooling is what got the coaches attention in the first place along with your talent, so you have to bust your behind in the books and classroom. That's part of character and showing your dedication to the team. Taking care of your part or job.
