It's a bit uncomfortable patting yourself on the back, but I'm not going to be shy about letting you know that I will be one of the most coachable athletes on your team. I listen. I work. I do my job. I am a 4.0 student so I intend to apply the same work ethic on the field as I do in the classroom. I intend to major in mechanical engineering. My parents will tell you that I've been taking things apart, and putting them back together since I was a toddler. I'm always looking for a better way to do things. I know my career choice is perfect for me. It's going to be a challenge. We'll see what I'm made of.
I had a pretty solid senior year. I wasn't the player who always started, or shown bright, my first couple of years, but I worked constantly in the off season. I never missed a practice or a team event. Year after year I got better, and this year it all came together. I was awarded the Brandon Burlsworth Character and Sportsmanship Award. I was also named 1st team All-Conference, 1st team All District, Honorable mention All-State. SOSA Honorable mention All-area, Academic All-Ohio. Those awards are nice, but they will collect dust. What really means more was that my consistent work ethic, did not go unnoticed. More importantly, I proved to myself that I am capable of playing at a high level.
