Many of the greatest life lessons that I have learned have been through sports. While football is my main sport, I also wrestle, and in the past, I have played lacrosse, basketball, track, and swimming. All these sports have taught me the importance of leadership, toughness, commitment, competitiveness, and discipline. I have applied these lessons to my life on and off the field and they shape who I am as a person. I wouldn’t be able to succeed without these characteristics.
The only reason I’ve been able to become who I am as a person today is because of challenge. One of the biggest challenges I faced was coming back to football after a serious injury. I missed my freshman year of football due to an injury, but after a long time off the field, I was able to come back my sophomore year. I embrace every challenge I face on the field and in the classroom as an opportunity to grow and I look forward to tackling more challenges during the remainder of my high school career and in college.
