Personal Statement
Ever since I can remember, I have always been the first one on the field a hour before game time and the last one to leave. I am a very passionate dedicated disciplined athlete always have been.
My collegiate goals athletically, are to strive to be a very active Freshman player ultimately a VARSITY STARTER D1A/AA HIGHLY COMPETITIVE COLLEGE TEAM. Help implement a cohesive team and brotherhood for my class and our team. To be trained by the best in the country. Just like most "boys" I sincerely have the desire to play for an NFL team, but not before completing my education. Academic's are the true foundation of my future.
Last two summer's I was invited to Kicking/Punting Camps at Purdue (2014,2015 won both Comps.both years), Michigan (2014 won the FG Comp), Duke (2014 won the "horse" comp), Ohio State University (2015 they didn't have a comp) Northern Texas University (2014 won Comp), Michigan State (2015 2nd place), Northwestern University (2015 tied 1st place).
I am also a top "student" with Kohl's Kicking and have earned two elite invitations to their Scholarship Camp and their Under Armour Challenge. Earning 4.5 out of 5 stars. Competition.
Academically, my strengths are Math and Sciences. My goal is to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy focusing on Sports Medicine. I see this to be my future career and livelihood. History however; is what will more than likely will be either my second major or my minor. It is a subject I really enjoy and do well in. Outside of school I am a counselor in training with the Park's and Rec's Indian Village - responsible for teaching Archery, Kayaking, Fishing, Tracking, Games, Hiking. Member of First Community Church. Involved with FCC Akita summer camps, outreach, Christmas family adoption, Food Basket donations.Volunteer my help with the elderly in our neighboring communities. Volunteer @ school's concession's, Booster fundraiser's, Hollyfest Art's & Craft Show, Touchdown Club. Why would I be a good candidate for your team? I believe in myself, also, ever since I was 3 1/2 every coach has told me "you are going to go far", "you have the "it" factor", " you've got the gift we only see once in a great while." Referee's have stopped me and my family on more than one occasion, after a game and made sure I was going to pursue a College Sport.
I would be an asset to your team. I am level headed, a leader, focused, completely committed to my sport and academics. I see College as a win win. I will help you win games and you will help me develop my future. I am loyal, honest, hardworking.
I believe my character has been greatly influenced from being an only child of a single Mother. To me, this is very beneficial. It makes for a strong mind. More independence, more confidence. It has helped me to be grateful. It has taught me to stand up for myself. I have great respect for my Mother and also for my Head Coaches Brian White (Football), Daniel Hoover (Soccer) and Jim Smith (Track). They have taught me so much more then being a skilled athlete. They have taught me that character counts.
You want me on your team, all my coaches will stand by that statement.
