Hi, my name is Sam Zemis. I am a junior at New Philadelphia High School in Ohio. I am 17 years old. I am the youngest of 5 children in my family. My current height and weight are 6'1 and 190. I play Football, and I run Track. Last fall I played on the varsity football team as a starter and captain. I play Special Teams, Outside linebacker, Free Safety, and Wide Receiver. I also punt. Last season I had 11 touchdowns and over 800 yards. I was named Player of the Game in week 1 and 7 as well as scholar athlete of the week for channel 9 Wheeling WV. Last fall I received several individual awards for the season, including 1st team ECOL, 1st team ALL District, , 1st Team all Region, 2 team Team All OHIO.
In Track, I run the 100 and 200; and I do the long jump.. I cleared over 21 ft this past season and I am looking forward to this spring's track season. Academically I maintain a 4.0+ and I am always on the honor roll. I take several AP classes and attend college at Kent State University.
I am fully committed to playing a sport in college. My speed is my biggest advantage, I ran an 11.4 electronic timed 100 last year. I have often heard coaches remark that I can "see the whole field." I have good intuition and a knack for finding openings on the football field . I can also jump extremely well. I am an offensive threat for football because I have good size, good hands, and tremendous speed. I am a versatile player and I can be depended on to play several positions.
