Football, hands down, has always been my favorite sport. I started playing football in the fourth grade and I've always had a true passion for the game. My first year playing varsity football was my junior year. I started my first four games but I unfortunately suffered a season-ending injury to my shoulder that forced me to get surgery. This devastating injury happened with less than a minute left in the fourth game and put me on the sidelines for the rest of the season. This period of time was a big learning period for me. It allowed me to step back and reflect on my life. After this time, I tried to look at my injury in a positive way. I learned that this period of time would be a huge blessing in disguise. I would now be able to focus on lifting, gaining muscle, getting faster, and nursing my arm back to health. I am now working to further myself as an athlete, a leader, and as a student to make my senior year the best year that it can be.
