Bryce Sheppert '19 Recruiting Profile

My Dad signed me up to play youth football when I was young and as soon as I started playing, I just fell in love with the game. I've learned that I'm a much better leader because of football and I lead by example on and off the field. Football has made me mentally strong, humble, and it taught me how to handle myself in adversity. My academic goal for high school is to finish with a 3.2 GPA. My college goal would be to come out of college with a meaningful degree so I can provide for myself and family.  An obstacle that I pride myself on is, in my sophomore season I was 150 pounds and the two cornerbacks in front of me started the year prior.  I worked hard to put myself in position to compete at their level.... that year I started 10 of the 11 games at cornerback and contributed on offense as well. The characteristics that I pride myself on is my passion for the game and my competitiveness. I think I formed my passion for the game on my own, but my entire family is extreme competitive and we go at it all the time to see who's the best. Mediocrity is not an option, I want to compete.
