Personal Statement
The major influences in my life are my family, my church and my high school coaches. I prioritize my life with God always first, then my family, academics and finally sports. I believe these run a very close first, second, third and fourth. I have learned early that as long as I put God first and live my life according to His Word regardless of the challenges, difficulties, highs and lows in life, everything will be okay and I will persevere. I am a three-sport athlete and I carry this over to the field and the court. God first, then my teammates, my coaches and my school. I have also learned that I have to maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, be flexible to play any position my coaches need me to play and to always be coachable. I always want to bring honor to God, my family and my school.
I am fortunate to be part of an amazing school and program that strives for excellence not only in the classroom but also in athletics. They instill pride, dedication, sacrifice, commitment, leadership and never settling for second best. I am looking for a college program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. My ultimate goal is to finish school and graduate with the skills needed to obtain a job where I can have a career and support the family of my own that I hope to have one day. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact the moment I step on campus and enter your program. As a three-sport athlete and captain of my Freshman and Junior Varsity teams, I have no doubt that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team.
