Personal Statement
As a kid I've always dreamed and had the desire to play at the college level. Having grown up around Oklahoma State University, I have had the privilege to watch many college athletes perform on Saturdays, and have always seen myself putting on one of their jerseys. Ever since I began participating in Athletics, my mom has always taught me to take everything one step at a time, whether that be grinding through a workout or just focusing on becoming a high school athlete before worrying about gaining offers. My parents have instilled in me an ethic of hard work and dedication that is unlike many of my peers at the school and community in which I live. My parents also taught me to finish everything that I started, teaching me that quitting is never victorious nor a solution the problem.
It has always been my goal to play at the college level. I would be astounded if I had the opportunity to play for a program that took me in with goals for my success on their mind as well. I can promise that everything I do would be for the betterment of any program I attended and that I would be an asset to that program. I understand that many college coach's jobs are on the line every season and that recruiting is very serious in their eyes. A teenage football player can secure their job, or be the reason they lose it, all because the coach took a gamble. I promise that I will give everything I have through hard work, my education, and dedication on and off the field, so that I have that opportunity to play at the next level and impress those coaches as well.
