God allows adversity into our lives not to break us but to better us. I was injured during the summer before my Junior year requiring surgery to my shoulder therefore I am late to the recruiting game. I thought surgery would weaken me and I would never be the same. Knowing I was out of football for even a short while, I was crushed. I've played since I was 6, it was the only sport I ever truly loved. I worked hard, I came back stronger, faster and tougher than I had ever been with more understanding of myself and my abilities. I returned as a starter both offensively and defensively and celebrated with my teammates when we won the State Championship and were ranked #2 Nationally. I do not give up. I fight until the very end both athletically and academically. I am a leader who believes I have the ability to grow from every circumstance. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to fulfill the dream of playing at the college level. Frequent highlights updated here: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1715881/dillon-smith
