My name is Abel Wills (2017), I am a strong 185 lb. WR/S that attends Moore High School (6A) in Moore, OK. I have competed at the varsity level as a freshman and as a starting wide receiver since my sophomore year. During my sophomore year I was able to earn 2nd team All City as a WR.
Unfortunately, at the beginning of my Junior season I suffered a broken collar bone which prevented me from playing the first seven games. I was expecting to play the final three games but once again suffered another set-back with a ruptured appendix, a long hospital stay, and thus the 2015 season was a bust.
Since then I have made it a personal goal to return to peak form. My personal best in the 40 is 4.74 which I am continually working to improve. I continually strive to be a complete student athlete in my school and our football program. I work tirelessly in the weight room and with my coaches during film sessions to improve my overall knowledge in football so I can benefit and provide leadership to my peers.
This senior year I was able to obtain several Player of Game awards and ended up achieving 6A's leading receiver for 2016 with 67 receptions for 1170 yards and 12 touchdowns. Although we did not make it to the playoffs, I was able to help my school reach its first winning season in over seven years.
As a student I am currently ranked 13 of 580 in my class and strive to achieve in the classroom by taking AP level courses and excelling in my standardized tests with an advanced rating. I have a strong support group in my family that continually pushes and works with me to maintain a high level of performance in the classroom and on the field.
I am working to join an academic institution with a football program that will allow me to participate at the highest level possible for my talents. I work every day to try and be prepared physically and mentally to attend a program that values student athletes as myself. Coaches, I have several events that I have attended over the past summer with times and measurements. If you would like a copy of the event results please let me know and I look forward to meeting my future football coach and mentor!
