Personal Statement
I am looking for a great school where I can excel as a student athlete. I tend to be very outgoing and become the leader of most groups that I join, including becoming a senior class officer and a team captain on my team. I start varsity on both sides of the ball and play nonstop for the entirety of the game. I start linebacker or defensive end, tight end/ receiver, and long snapper. I am currently tall and growing muscle weekly. I come from a family with large individuals so i believe that i will continue to grow. My head Coach is always complimenting me for my football savvy, speed, quickness, how well I read the plays, and that I always run with the running backs and wide receivers. I like the challenge of trying to keep up with them even though heavier by 25 pounds. My shuttle and 40 times are getting better every week, and I worked hard in off season to add muscle. I also run block very well and have played fullback, averaging over 4.8 yards per carry. I like contact, whether it is sealing the end for the running back, running with the ball after a catch, or busting through the line to sack the QB or drop the ball carrier for a loss. Since I pass rush when there is an opening, I had 10 pass knockdowns last season and 1 int at the line. I take honor classes, Pre-AP, and AP classes, including Calculus as a junior and concurrent college classes going into my senior year. It is my goal to go to a school where academics are important and there is top notch coaching staff that will help me develop to my highest level of football skill. I am extremely hard worker, and all of my coaches have commented that I am one of the easiest players to coach because I listen, learn, and execute with hustle and a smile. I always give my best regardless of how I feel, and I motivate my team members to excel every chance I get. On the sidelines before the game, I am the one pumping up everyone enthusiasm so we go out and do our best.
