My name is Skylar Williams and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am a Senior at Westville High School in Westville, Oklahoma. During my Senior year I have played numerous positions such as running back, fullback, and inside linebacker. My Senior year I am credited for making 130 tackles, 12 of which were for a loss; 6 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, 1 interception for a touchdown, and 4 fumble recoveries. Offensively I made 13 rushing touchdowns, ran for 820 yards on 98 carries, 66 receiving yards, and 7 receptions. I was just named class 3A District 7 Co-defensive Player of the year. My Junior year I was awarded the Most Valuable Player on my team. My teammates and I have worked diligently every day to turn our program around from 1-29 record the previous three years to 8-3 during the 2014 Football season. During the past season our football team had a home playoff game, the first since 1996. I was an instrumental part of changing the attitude and expectations of my team as well as my town. In and out of school I work to do the very best I can to excel in all areas of my life. Inside the classroom, I am enrolled in four AP classes, GPA of 4.0 and 32 on the ACT. I am a team player and highly self-motivated to do what is best for the team. I will play whatever position is needed to achieve the ultimate goal of winning. I was raised on a farm and I know hard work does pay off. I am easy going, easy to coach and always willing to do what I can to help. I know if given the opportunity I will be valued addition to any program.
