Blane Burns '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Blane Eli Burns. I am 18 years old and currently a Junior at Westville High School. I am a 6FT, 180 pound member of the 2017 graduating class. My Faith in God is the most important thing in my life followed by my family, but my passion has always been football, & I have been playing the quarterback position since I was 6 years old.

My hearts desire is to play quarterback at the next level and be able to further my education. This past season my team went 8-2 in the regular season and we made the Oklahoma Class 3A State Playoffs for the 2nd consecutive season.  Though my individual stats may not seem extraordinary mainly because my team was blessed to have one of the State's best running back, but I do believe in myself to be one of the main factors for my team to turn around from an 0-10 season 3 years ago to an 8-2 regular season record these past two years.

I am currently ranked number 1 in my junior class with a 4.0 GPA. . I believe my classroom ability has been & will continue to be beneficial for the breakdown of opposing defenses and I am able to use that knowledge on the field. Also my ability to make my teammates around me better, as the quarterback is looked upon as the leader of the team, which I have been accustomed to for 11 years.

My desire, determination, unselfish play and relentless spirit to win, keeps pushing me to prove to myself, my team & my coaches that I can & will always be the one to be called upon when needed! I will never be satisfied with my football talents and will always continue to work to better myself for my team. I look forward for the opportunity and chance to play for you!
