Personal Statement
My biggest athletic honor to date, was being able to help my team win the Oregon State Championship. I am grateful to my coaches and teammates for entrusting me to serve as varsity quarterback and starting safety my freshman year. Over the past three years, I’ve learned a lot about leadership and poise under pressure. In 2020 I learned a lot about hardship and perseverance too. My team worked our way to State Sectionals my freshman year and clenched the State title my sophomore year. I was the State co-offensive player of the year last year and selected for first team all-state. I was named Offensive MVP for my team, and received honorable mention for Quarterback in my multi-county conference my freshman year. I'm finishing my junior year and playing in the Spring Football season now, and looking forward to working with my teammates to prepare for next season!
The two biggest assets I can bring to a team are leadership and work ethic. I'm a multi-sport athlete, and a many-time team captain as well as an elected officer for other school groups and organizations. I believe in leading by example, and always focus on putting my best foot forward no matter what I am doing, on or off the field. I've grown up working on my family's farm and ranch, and know the value of hard work and persistence. I bring that work ethic with me everyday to the field and classroom, no matter what. I'm looking for the chance to bring these skills to a college football program, while continuing to grow as a player, a student, and a person.
