Personal Statement
We were down by 4 with 1:44 to go and 75 yards away from victory. Our first play of the series was called back for a holding penalty. Then 3 plays later we converted a crucial 4th and 5 to keep our hopes alive. We converted a couple more first downs, I calmly but quickly got our team to the line and clocked the ball to preserve our final time out. 25 yards out and 3 plays to go and one time out remaining. Second down we worked the middle of the field but was unsuccessful. Third down I threw a ball to the corner that slipped through my receivers' hands. On 4th down, we called a play that we had been setting up all game long. 14 seconds remained and our outside receiver slipped inside and broke wide open down the seam, he caught it in stride and with 9 seconds left... we won! This is my favorite memory from my Sophomore year!
Passion, dedication and focus are my primary attributes. I am goal oriented and when I was just 7 years old, I set a goal to play football at the college level. I haven’t always been the most talented but I have been one of the hardest working. I have had to focus and work hard on my mechanics and I continue to do so each and every time I step on the field.
Sports has had a major impact on who I am today. I first started as a ball boy for my Dad’s high school team and was there when they went to state. I have played three sports, Football, Basketball and Baseball since I was 7 and have done so at a high level. I have been on State playoff baseball teams and just recently my High School basketball team won a district title. This past Spring, I added track and field to my list of activities.
Given the opportunity to continue pursuing my goals would truly be a dream come true. I look forward to bringing my passion for competition and love for the game of football to a team who will also continue to help me grow as a man and athlete.
