Eric Boyer '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Eric Boyer and I play football for the Upper Dublin Cardinals. I am 17 years old and a senior at Upper Dublin High school. I was awarded second team all area for my Philadelphia suburban area as well as second team all league as a junior. Coaches and teachers have praised me as a respectful student-athlete. Having played football, baseball and wrestled, as well as playing violin since kindergarten, I am very well rounded in sports and the arts. It has only recently occurred to me that my dream to play college football may soon become a reality. I have the strength to kick touchbacks, which was proven by the touchbacks I kicked in this past season, as well as junior year. I also have the accuracy to kick field goals, proven by the two field goals that I kicked being completed. My punting ability has shined this past season where in the last game against Council Rock Norht in the first round of the playoffs i had 6 punts for an average of 44 yards.I have plenty of confidence, but I am always open to suggestions and working towards improvement. I am currently at 5 foot 11 weighing 180 pounds. I like to be a leader and help my fellow students, team mates, as well as friends with whatever they need. I am open to play at any level as long as I get a significant amount of playing time. I would like to play at the Division 1 level. The geographic region I would like to play at would be in the south, northeast or west. Considering I live in Pennsylvania and out of state tuition would be very expensive, I would most likely need some form of financial aid. I am currently looking to major in a business related field; however, I am not decided or set on this exact major. I believe I would have the most positive effect on a team as a kickoff specialist or rugby punter. I have a very competitive nature and I always want to win and I want to help whatever team I play on win. I believe I have what it takes to play college football and I would love to be an asset on a team that shows significant interest in me and wants me on their team. I will be the hardest worker on your team.
