Personal Statement

My name is Steven McNeal and I play for Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I am 5'9" and 195 pounds. I play middle linebacker and fullback. I started on the varsity team my sophomore year as well as my junior year. This year I earned 1st team All-Conference and 3rd team All-State honors at middle linebacker.

I began playing football at the age of five. Ever since then it has been my biggest dream to play football at the highest level possible. I live to play football and I cannot imagine my life without it. I would be a good fit for any school because I have good character, I strive to be the best on the field, and I strive to be the best in the classroom.

I believe that academics and my character has to come before football. I work hard in the classroom so that I can get the best grades possible. I apply myself in school because I realize that there is life after football. I have good character because I treat everybody with respect and volunteer in my community. I put in countless hours of community service because I believe that you should always put others before yourself.

On the field I always try to show great work ethic and dedication. I am the last person to walk off the practice field and I am the last person to leave the weight room. I try my hardest to show great leadership skills by encouraging the rest of my team. I constantly strive to reach my full potential. I believe I would be a great fit for any school.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
