River Johnson '15 Recruiting Profile

Coach,    As a 4 yr. starter on Defense and a 3 yr starter on Offense, I bring a wealth of experience to a team from both sides of the ball.  While starting in 43 straight games, I have been one part of a three-headed monster in the triple option, as well as being the only back in our new spread offense in this my Senior year, showing both flexibility as well as durability.

   OFFENSE...As we go into the 1st round of the PA. Distict 1 AAA playoffs, I am just one cog of many, on the 5th leading AAA offense in PA.  With 13 TD (10 rush 3 rec), and over 800 yds on 130 touches, I consider myself a player that a coach can count on for both the big play, as well as 3rd and three.   I have averaged a TD approx every 8.5 times Coach has called on me since my Freshman yr, and averaged 29,8 yds per catch my Soph/Jr seasons (22 catches).  I have not fumbled since 2nd game of Sophomore season....while wearing a cast.

   DEFENSE.....I started at Safety my Freshman year and finished with over 60 tackles 2 picks and 2 fumble recoveries.  My Sophomore yr, I was moved to corner and had 11 tackles behind LOS.  I led the ChesMont League in Int (8) my Junior year.  I have given up 2 TD in the last 2 seasons (1 each yr).  No picks this year as we go into the playoffs, but quite frankly, the film doesn't lie... they just dont come my way too often......by ground OR by air.

    I hope a coach who has seen my last 4 yrs on video sees a student athlete that will help his program grow through my diversity and determination to succeed.  I also hope to find an institution, that through IT'S diversity and determination, enhances my desire and plans to succeed in life.  Thank You.  Blessings to all!
