Personal Statement
Primarily, I have worked hard to maintain the highest academic standards. Each year, I finish at the top of my class.
Next, I am a multi-sport athlete in from a small school in western Pennsylvania who has competed in several different sports my entire life. In youth hockey, played for a team that won the Northeast Ohio Hockey League; While stationed in Germany with my dad, played on a baseball team that won the World Youth Olympics in baseball in Vienna, Austria; In basketball, played and won several AAU championships with a local team as well as a team in Germany; finally, in football, have competed in games at every level, playing various positions on offense, defense, and special teams.
Each year, I have worked hard to improve my strength and skills. Last year, I guided the Mustangs to a 9-3 finish and a trip to the District 10 Class A Semifinal. Our team tripled our wins and reduced our losses. During the season, I completed 56.5% of the passes (166-294) while tossing for over 2,400 yards and 27 touchdowns. I doubled my yards, completions, and cut my interceptions in half. I also gained 644 yards on the ground (5.1 ypc) while scoring 4 more touchdowns.
I can evade incoming defenders, and able to get out of the pocket and keep my eyes focused down field. I completed under 50% just twice last season and have an accurate arm more often than not. I passed for over 220 yards five times during a six-week stretch. Over the course of his last six contests, I threw for 18 scores and just 4 interceptions.
For a coach, you can, with confidence, hand me the keys to the offense. I am a known commodity on and off the field with above average athletic ability, and elite level leadership skills.
