Matt Bobeck '15 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6’ 2” 230 pound Junior at Crestwood High School in Mountain Top, PA.  I have just completed my Junior football season and am very proud of myself and my team’s accomplishments.  We finished the regular season 9-1, were narrowly defeated in the District playoffs and we had the Conference's top rated Defense and top rated rushing offense.  I started on both sides of the ball for Crestwood. On defense I played Defensive End and Inside Linebacker. On offense I saw considerable playing time at Tail Back, Full Back and Tight End. My contribution included 68 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss and 9 sacks. I led the team in QB sacks, hurries, knockdowns and tackles for loss. On offense I averaged 8.8 yards per carry with 4 TDs.  I was named First Team All Conference (Coaches Poll), First Team All Region and was named to the Citizens Voice and Times Leader First Team All Stars.

I began playing football as a seven year old and have loved the game ever since.  My coaches have always been impressed by my work ethic, toughness, calmness under pressure and my ability to play multiple positions.  I approach every game the same whether it is a pre-season scrimmage or a playoff game – with focus, determination and single minded intensity.

I currently have 3.0 GPA and am very interested in Physical Therapy or Optometry.  My lifelong goal of playing college football is close but I fully understand the dedication and commitment required to realize that goal. I am up to that challenge and I am working hard in the off season and I can hardly wait for my senior season to begin and the opportunities that await in college.
