Personal Statement
My name is Logan Yohn. I have been playing football since I was eight years old. I had been debating between fall ball ( I play baseball as well) and football-- but as it turns out, choosing football was the best decision I ever made. There is absolutely no better feeling than running out on that field on Friday nights--- except maybe doing it on Saturday afternoons.
But football is about more than Friday nights. It is about dedication, hard work, getting up when you're down, and teamwork. It about sportsmanship and being a good leader. The game has instilled all of those things in me. It has instilled the drive and determination to be the best player and teammate that I can be. I believe that all of these things, along with a strong academic background will allow me to succeed at the collegiate level. I am dedicated to doing whatever needs to be done to get there: weightlifting, studying and never missing practices. My goal of living this dream is my number one priority.
I feel that this dedication shows in my success on the field. This season (2014) I had 53 tackles(second in the league), 3 forced fumbles, and 10 pass deflections. But those stats are not the most important to me. In those ten games I had only allowed 11 catches to the players I was covering all year, and you could definitely notice teams would scheme away from me. I am proud of my actions on the field and look to continue on this course for many years to come.
I have updated my video to include highlights from this season.
