Brendan Lynch '13 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Brendan Lynch, and I am a Senior at Freeport Area High School. I am the starting quarterback and cornerback this year. Our team is off to a good start with a 6-1 record so far this season. I was a very accomplished player as a sophmore. I started at quarterback and strong safety all year and I was a Co-Captain of the team. I helped lead my team to an 8-4 record and a first round playoff victory. I threw for 1326 passing yards with a completion percentage of 49% to go along with 13 TDs and only 4 interceptions. I was named to Second Team All Conference. As a junior I also started every game at quarterback and strong safety, and I was named a team captain. I helped lead my team to an 8-3 record and an Allegheny Conference Title. Unfortunately we lost in the first round of the playoffs. I threw for 602 passing yards with a completion percentage of 55% to go along with 7 TDs and just 3 interceptions. I also had 642 rushing yards on 90 attempts and 9 TDs. I was named to 2nd Team (Offense) All-Conference team. On the defensive side of the balI, I lead the secondary as a starter at strong safety and contributed an interception, 4 pass breakups and 51 tackles. I was named to the 1st Team All-Conference Team as a defensive back. Besides my athletic talents I can bring a great deal of leadership to a football team and I am an excellent student. I am well rounded and I have been involved in church and community service activities. I am a member of our school's chapter of the National Honor Society. I am looking for a school that will give me a great academic as well as athletic experience. I would be willing to play at schools in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey,Connecticut, Massachuetts, and West Virginia. Also, I would be willing to play at schools in Division 1,2, and 3. In terms of education, I am interested in Sports Medicine and Engineering, but I am not quite sure which one would suit me best just yet.
