Personal Statement
I am a quarterback for the South Allegheny Gladiators. I have been playing football since I was five years old, and attending the NFA (National Football Academies) quarterback camps annually since I was eight years old. I was selected three times by NFA to compete nationally in an invitation only quarterback skills competition called “The Duel” in Canton, Ohio. I now know that football is going to end someday, and I would like to make it last as long as possible. When a football is in my hands I truly feel at ease, like it is what I was always meant to do. Being able to play at the collegiate level would be a dream come true.
I am consistently training to better my body and improve my skills. As a quarterback, I feel that the expectations are set higher and I love that challenge. I respect everything my coaches teach me and use it to develop mentally and physically. Leadership and competitiveness come second nature to me. I not only push myself but I also inspire my teammates to be the best they can be on and off the field.
An education is equally important. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and on the Honor Roll. Sports have definitely taught me how to prioritize my time. There has to be a balance between sports, academics, and a social life. This is a trait that will continue to help me in college.
My ultimate goal is to play college football while taking full advantage of the educational opportunities. I would like to pursue a degree in Sports Management or Psychology. It would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to pursue both my athletic and academic dreams. I am 100% willing to put in the work to get there.
