My name is Maverick Woodling and I am in the class of 2017. After earning a starting position as center for my freshman year, I increased my size, strength, and blocking skills. Following the first few games of the 2014 season, I was switched from center to right guard to enable me to trap and kick-out block more often. Since then I was able to do that very well and I even enjoyed playing it more than center. On the other side of the ball I was a defensive tackle and guard. So unless we were winning by a lot I usually played the whole game. For me and my teammates the 2014 season was extra special as my team made it to the playoffs for the first time in over 20 years. The 2015 season was my third year starting on the varsity team (as a junior) as a strong leader and even stronger player. This year the team needed me to move from right guard to tackle and many opponents double and triple teamed me on the line. As such I was named to the Inter County Conference All Star First Team and the Blair County All Star First Team as a tackle.
