Personal Statement
I am 6’2”, 175 lbs. I play safety and wide receiver at North Kingstown High School, RI. I just finished my Junior year and am currently training for my Senior year. In my Freshman year, I played on the freshman team and started both sides of the ball at wide receiver and safety, and during my Sophomore year I played Junior Varsity in the same positions, and got in on a few plays on Varsity. This last year, my Junior year, I played Varsity, mainly at the safety position on defense and on special teams. On the field, I proved to be a big help to the Team. I had 2 interceptions and over 10 tackles at safety. On special teams, I was first team on the kickoff team and the punt team and recorded a total of 19 tackles on those. I played my heart out on the field and love the game. I enjoy playing both wide receiver and safety, but my favorite and strongest position is safety because I love reading the play and running up to make tackles along with sitting back and knocking down passes. My coaches love coaching me because I am a good leader, I am very easy to coach, and I respect my coaches and other players. I put in a lot of work to make myself better on and off the field, as I really enjoy training and lifting in the weight room. This offseason, I was back in the weight room the week after the season ended, and I am putting in extra time and work because I know that if I work hard enough I can play at the next level in college. Along with football, I play lacrosse in the spring and am a starter on Varsity at the mid-field position. Off the field, I am a good student who averages a B to a B+ in the classroom with a 3.4 GPA. I will work as hard as it takes and put in extra hours of studying and homework to make my dream of playing college football come true. It is a dream of mine to play college football and has been since I started playing football at around 8 years old. I have a passion for the game that not many others have. I work very hard and would love to play in college more than anything.
