I am a 6'1" football player. During my high school career, I have started on offense as a Wide Receiver and have played Defensive Back. Learning both sides of the line has helped improve my ability to anticipate routes and identify which moves work better with different routes and to understand various types of defenses. During my sophomore year, I helped lead the Northmen Mounties to their first Superbowl victory after an undefeated season as a starting wide and slot receiver. I take pride in my sport and practice like I play and complete off-season workouts both individually and with my team.
Off the field, I excel in academics, taking honors courses and maintaining an overall GPA of 3.6. My collegiate aspirations are to major in the medical field and work with children with disabilities. In addition, I would like to work in a field where I can research rare conditions, such as Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome, a condition my younger brother was diagnosed with at birth. I have been a coach for my brother's Rhode Island Special Olympics North Stars team for the past 3 years. The joy and camaraderie the athletes show in every competition and practice is how I aspire to be as an athlete.
My collegiate goals are to become an active part of a football team while working to reach my academic and career goals.
